Hello hello, and welcome to Episode 125 of Life On the Brink!
April is such a special month- in fact, today is my birthday! I’m celebrating by recapping what was perhaps the most FUN renovation project I’ve worked on in the past two years: the home library. From hunting down the perfect bookshelves to a literal painting party to creating so many cozy nooks, I’m so pleased with the finished product!
I’ve also made today’s episode extra special by sharing some recipes and fun ideas inspired by my recent gatherings (Hint: a spring dinner party with herbs galore,) as well as some gardening updates and emotional retrospection.
What’s in my teacup? My morning latte (a staple since acquiring the espresso machine!)
Things I Mentioned in This Episode:
......and now, all the library photos!

The PAINT PARTY: and other fancy doodles

THE FINISHED ROOM!

I can't wait to watch this space change and grow, and I'm so grateful to everyone who helped make it a reality!
This Week’s Little Joy: I've been so inspired by the food blog/Instagram called "A Bright Moment." The girl who runs the account makes such fun, flavorful recipes that have really helped when I'm in a bit of a cooking rut.
What I’m Listening To: One of Zoe's favorite songs right now (besides the soundtrack to The Sound of Music) is "The Coffee Song." I really love the arrangement on this album, "Ring-A-Ding-Ding! 50th Anniversary" by Frank Sinatra. The band arrangements are so smart and lively, and there's lots of lesser known classics on the album. It's lots of fun!
Thank you so much for listening! Feel free to leave a comment, or head to Apple Podcasts to leave a star rating or review. If you have any suggestions for future episodes, send an email in the contact form on this site. I’d love to hear from you, and I'll be back next month!
