Podcast 110: Creating Your Dream Garden w/ Mattheiu Mehuys

Hello hello, and welcome to Episode 110 of Life On the Brink!

Spring is just around the corner, and if you’re like me it’s during this time of year that I always get excited to get back into the garden. There’s always new things to try, and I love getting inspired to watch things GROW.

In that vein, today I’m welcoming someone who has made gardening and landscaping his passion and career. Matthieu Mehuys is a landscape architect from Belgium, and we enjoyed a lovely conversation all about regenerative gardening, working with and understanding nature and caring for the foundations of your garden!

What’s in my teacup? I’ve been drinking a lot of floral green tea, like Jane’s Garden by Harney and Sons

Below I’m copying the subjects and questions we discuss in the conversation, as well as links to all of Matthieu’s resources. To listen to the interview, feel free to listen with the audio player above, or read the full transcript here (just select the correct episode and go to the "transcript" tab).

"If you have a problem, go out into the garden and you’ll find your answer."

And if you enjoyed this episode, you might like some of these previous Life On The Brink episodes:

Mattieu’s Little Joy: Of all things: our conversation! I enjoyed talking with him and getting his expertise, and he took just as much enjoyment out of sharing!

What He’s Listening To: Pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi. He was new to me, but since our conversation I’ve listened to his pieces and completely fallen in love with them. Here I’m linking his 2022 album of compositions called “Underwater.” They’re so lyrical and emotional, but while remaining quite ambient. I highly recommend!
